Question about Lenovo ThinkPad Hybrid USB-C / -A

Hello all. I wanted to ask if I can use this docking station with my Lenovo Ideapad Y700? And can it also be charged via a USB-A port? Unfortunately it doesn't have a USB-C port.

Only devices with a USB-C connection can be charged with the docking station.
I have two Lenovo notebooks, one with USB-C, where charging works, and an older one with USB-A, where I need the supplied power adapter for charging.
Both adapters (USB-C and USB-A) work for the connected devices.

The docking station has a UBS-C connector for charging. This also has a UBS-A adapter, so it can be used for laptops with both connectors.
