After I sent in my Pavoni because it didn't work properly, the pressure is still only between 0.5-0.8 bar, which is too low, or should it already be at 1.0 bar?

Can the sealing ring on the piston be broken if water comes out of the piston without acting on the lever? where and how can I order this?

The sealing ring on our La Pavoni PLH actually broke. Not on the piston, but rather on the pressure gauge - about half a year after we bought it. The machine was still covered by the warranty, so we gave it to Galaxus and it was repaired in Italy. The total repair time was about 2 months. In Switzerland, however, there is a La Pavone shop. I have an important question. When you read on the internet that the optimum pressure for an espresso is 9 bar, can the taste of this machine keep up with, for example, the Quickmill 3000 or Sage Barista Pro? I know that the stated pressure of 12 or 15 bar is only the maximum pressure. But I would like to know if it is worth buying a Sage pro grinder for 230 and using my pavoni or eventually a Sage Barista pro for 600. Then I wouldn't need the grinder separately.

Hoi Slaska This is a hand lever machine. The pressure in the boiler is only for filling the brewing chamber. You generate the pressure with which you prepare your espresso by pulling down the lever. With the Pavoni, you will find the optimum force for the espresso with time and practice, and by trying out the grind and filling quantity. (Approximately 30 seconds until the lever is down without grumbling). A good grinder is highly recommended. Your espresso can be excellent with the Pavoni and can compete with any expensive machine. Best regards PS: If you regularly want to make more than 3 coffees at a time, the machine is rather slow, as you have to wait after pressing down the lever until the pressure is gone and you can release the portafilter, and it also tends to overheat in continuous use.
