Fill the water tank and leave it overnight. Then switch on and off again several times without the cartridge. The pump should prime itself.

I often buy them from denner or migro, where they have fine caps that work at a good price. If it says nesspresso on it, it fits without a problem.

No. There are 20 different capsules free of charge.
Since the cup holder can be folded up, larger cups can also be used here. During the first rinse, I placed a 500 ml cup underneath and it worked fine. I don't know the Travel Mug, but I think it will work. The only thing that needs to be adjusted is the amount of coffee. But that's all in the instructions.
