There is already one pre-assembled with a 3/8" thread (DSLR) and an adapter to 1/4" (video cameras). So you don't have to buy anything extra.

Yes, all other ARCA SWISS compatible plates fit me without any problems.
This is the largest Gorillapod. However, the largest one is not necessarily required for use with a smartphone. Unfortunately, we do not know of a corresponding attachment.
