The Imperial DABMAN i510 BT is suitable for all speakers that can be connected to a hi-fi system, as the device has analogue audio outputs (stereo cinch RCA) and digital outputs (coaxial S/PDIF and optical TOSLINK). You can therefore use speakers that can be connected either directly to an amplifier or to an active speaker with corresponding inputs.
The device itself is a hybrid radio and network player that has no integrated speakers, but serves as a source for external speakers or hi-fi systems. For the best compatibility, you should choose speakers that match your existing amplifier or active speakers and that have cinch, optical or coaxial inputs.
The DABMAN i510 BT does not have a built-in amplifier to which speakers can be connected directly. The audio out connections only output the audio signal, which can then be connected to the audio in of an amplifier. The device is ideal to replace an old FM/AM receiver on a stereo system, or to supplement an FM receiver with a DAB+ Internet etc radio.
If your Sony FM radio still has audio-in connections, you can feed the audio signal from the DABMAN into it.
Hi Heinz, I bought the device but unfortunately couldn't connect it to my Samsung soundbar with Bluetooth. I now have a Hama DIT2006BT, which works perfectly
