Hi Julia
Depending on the age of the devices, there may not be enough current flowing through the USB port. I've had that too 🤔.
Maybe you can try with devices from friends/family?
Otherwise open a support case at Digitec/Galaxus :)
Hello The iBox IED02 DVD drive is an external device that is connected via USB. It is not directly compatible with a Smart TV as Smart TVs do not usually support USB DVD drives unless they are specialised niche products. However, you could use an Android TV box that can play DVDs with an app like "True DVD for Android TV" if the drive is compatible with the app. For an LG Smart TV without an Android TV Box, it is unlikely that the drive will work directly.
Sorry, wrong wording, correction:
You can only plug this player into a U.S.B.-A port unless you have an adapter...
Just in case, here are the different types of U.S.B. plug:

Since I foolishly bought and tested one because of this, I can confirm that it is a DVD-ROM. According to their website, it is: https://sklep.ibox.pl/ibox-ied02...
The manufacturer claims that its player is compatible with most PCs and laptops but does not mention anything about TVs. We suspect that you can't connect it to a TV directly.
