I don't recommend this monitor, it only has 1920x1080 pixels and that is lousy even on a 24 inch screen. Texts are displayed totally pixelated. This monitor is also capable of 144Hz and can also be mounted on a monitor holder. It is a little more expensive, but the resolution is much better: LG 27GN800 (27 ", 2560 x 1440 Pixels)

As long as you connect the display to your notebook, it does not matter how high the Hz of the notebook panel is. This has no influence on how high the Hz are on the OMEN display. You can achieve 144Hz on the OMEN by connecting the laptop to the display port of the OMEN display via the mini display port or the USB-C connection and selecting 144Hz in the display settings.
