When I want to print duplex, I get the message Insert 2nd page or the second page is printed upside down. I never had this problem with my previous printer, the hp officejet 8010 series

That sounds like an incorrect duplex setting. Set "Double-sided: long edge" in the print dialogue (not short edge). If the message "Insert 2nd page" appears, automatic duplex printing is usually deactivated. Check on the PC: Printer settings → Printing preferences → Duplex printing → Automatic / Long edge. On the printer itself: Menu → Settings → Print → Double-sided printing → Automatic. The problem should then disappear.

In other words, it can scan both sides of A4 paper "without" me having to turn the paper over or put it in the paper feed a second time. In other words, I could scan a stack of 20 sheets of paper printed on both sides without any additional intervention and get 40 PDF pages ;-) 2) I understand that all "OfficeJet Pro 912*" products are identical, just sold in different regions of the world. So it would be logical to buy the cheapest one within this series, which is probably the "OfficeJet Pro 9120".

Re 1: Yes, you can. I have just tried it again on the document feeder of the recently purchased 9120e. Use the "HP smart" app on the computer and tick "double-sided document feeder". This will give you a 2X page PDF from your X-page A4 stack of paper as desired. Have fun!
