Can I also transfer Thunderbolt 3 with the adapter? Because I have a Macbook with a USB-C hub to plug in various devices. Unfortunately, there is only a very short cable attached to this adapter. Now I want to connect a USB C cable with the adapter and then the other piece with the Macbook, but the image from the screen, the mouse and keyboard are not recognised. Either the adapter is not capable of this or I need a special USB-C cable such as Thunderbolt 3 USB-C. Can anyone help me?

No, the adapter is not designed for this. It is supposed to be for USB 2 and superspeed, as it says in the description. I use the adapter myself for a touchpad that stupidly came with a USB-C connection and is supposed to fit into a USB-3 socket. Works fine. As far as I know, a longer cable is needed for Thunderbolt...
