It says: Operating system compatibility Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Does that mean as of or just that? That would be a completely outdated operating system.

Which of the cables is defective? As an alternative to the mains adapter, you can charge the printer with any micro USB cable. For example from a camera or android tablet etc. We charge our printers like this in our truck. Hope this helps.

Wf-110 is the successor model, has the same specs and allows an additional battery to be connected. And it costs less. The higher price of the previous model is probably historical.
