Normally not. However, you can contact customer service for this. Prices are based on supply and demand, suppliers and availability of goods. This means that prices vary regularly, which is quite normal.

what about colour accuracy?

It should have 99% SRGB. I use it for image and video editing, but it's certainly not the ideal screen for that. I haven't calibrated it either, although I've wanted to for years ^^

I have the answer. Somehow I'm ashamed and somehow I'm not.... All this time I have been using the OC's shortcut as a guide. This shortcut, you can only use when in: Main Menu -> Game/Game -> Overclock Refresh Rate is selected. After that I can choose with the shortcut in steps of 5 between 100 -120Hz. Greetings

You can, but it makes no sense. This monitor has 120Hz (overclock) with G-Sync support. With GTX 1060, even if you switch all details to minimum at 1440p resolution, you won't even get 60 FPS in most modern games. To get the most out of this monitor, you'd need something like 2080S. So better buy something cheaper, without G-Sync with 1080p resolution, or a better graphics card with this monitor.

no hdr?

Nope. As soon as you want something in the ultra wide range with 120hz and hdr, you have to dig a bit deeper into your pocket. But the panel is great. I can only recommend it. However, you should have enough space on the table because the base is much too big. Or simply mount it on the wall.

An RTX 2080 and the i7-9700 can play all current triple-A games at very high settings. The Alienware can be set to 120Hz, which is highly recommended. The screen also supports G-Sync via Displayport, which ensures that you always have a smooth gaming experience, even at lower and more fluctuating FPS. A GTX 1070 would still deliver a pretty decent FPS in many games, but in the full 3440x1440 resolution, the RTX 2080 clearly stands out. (I currently use the AW3418 on an RTX 2080).

8bit are correct. I have just checked this on various test sites. An error has crept into the specifications. Good eye, I would never have noticed such a thing ;) Sources: https://www.gamestar.de/artikel/dell-alienware-aw3418dw-im-test,3322022,seite4.html http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/dell_alienware_aw3418dw.htm

It depends on what you want to run (and with which settings). But I think your suggestion is certainly possible. The 2070 should be enough for the next 2-3 years as long as you don't want to use the full 120Hz. But the G-Sync alone is worth it - I wouldn't want to do without it. I have a 980ti (still) installed. Of course, I don't get high frame rates with it, but it's enough for my taste until the 2080ti arrives😁.
