The Canon Bluetooth adapter BU-30 seems to be discontinued. Is there a tried and tested alternative that anyone can recommend?

No, unfortunately there is no alternative to this adapter. I don't understand it either.

I have installed the adapter in my PIXMA IP100 and it works fine. However, I first had to install it on the outer USB port for configuration/connection. Once it worked I was able to install it behind the right housing panel as intended.

I need this adapter for Canon PIXMA IP100. However, the description does not list this printer as compatible. Is the adapter compatible with IP100 or not?
