Hi Kimby, the best tapes are Brother TZ Tape in max. 12mm width. There are many colours and also transparent. They are very durable and can withstand cleaning in the dishwasher.

Hi, if you use a mains adapter you don't need batteries in the device. Personally I use 3 different Brother devices, batteries only in case I have no power, for those I use Varta with its charger, I use rechargeable batteries a lot in different devices, I have several spare ones all Varta.
