If I use the mains adapter, do I need rechargeable batteries first? Which are the best ones to use?

Hi, if you use a mains adapter you don't need batteries in the device. Personally I use 3 different Brother devices, batteries only in case I have no power, for those I use Varta with its charger, I use rechargeable batteries a lot in different devices, I have several spare ones all Varta.
