How long is the gooseneck? Is it very flexible, so that you could even swing it down a bit (the 140cm is rather too high for me). Or is it even possible to leave out a piece of tube when assembling it, so that the lamp is less high? Thank you very much for any answer!

The gooseneck is approx. 60cm long and very flexible. You can shape the gooseneck almost into a circle and position the lamp at about hip height without any problems. My wife needs the lamp to read on the sofa and is very happy with the "adjustment possibilities" of the gooseneck.

Does the lamp light up immediately when it is plugged into the socket? I want to be able to switch on the lamp by means of a switched socket and not have to press the switch-on button or the remote control. Thanks :)

I think at the beginning you have to set the lamp safely (colour etc.) and switch it on with the remote control. Then pull out the plug and do not press the switch-off button. That's how I think it should work. For example, if you don't press the switch-off button on the hoover, it will run immediately when you plug it in.
