There are much cheaper and better solutions like the one from Asus. I'm a fan of Asus, but they missed the mark with this product. Check out the Aorus Gaming Box 1080 / 1070, only half the price and runs great. I am very satisfied with it.

That makes no sense at all for an Asus ROG with GTX 1070. You already have a solid graphics card with the 1070. This solution is more for laptops or rather ultrabooks or even convertibles, without a dedicated graphics card and only the Intel graphics from the processor, for example. At home this thing and you can do decent gaming and on the road without the station. Then you also don't have to lug around a 3kg monster (+Backstein power supply) every time.
PS: However, I can hardly imagine that you lose so much percentage effectively. The information on the manufacturer's website shows a completely different picture with the benchmark comparisons.

As far as I've seen, the Asus G20 doesn't have a USB-C port, so it's not possible in terms of connection type. But why do you want to connect an external GPU case to a PC with a case? It's better to install a better graphics card on the PC.
