I bought the ASUS ROG XG Station in March and never used it afterwards because we built the graphics card into a PC. If you are interested I can sell it for Fr. 480.00. Guaranteed unused! 079 623 36 66
Your Asus Zenbook Duo has a USB 3.1 Type -C as far as I know. So according to my experience, yes, this station is compatible. My experience: I tested this station with my ASUS G752VS (dedicated 1070 card, Intel Core i7-6820HK - 16 GB RAM). I tried the combination with an external monitor, an ASUS PG348Q 3440x1440p. Sometimes with a GTX 1080 Ti OC 11G and also with a RTX 2080 Ti OC 11G. Both times the result was rather sobering. I hoped to be able to push my laptop. However, the performance of the graphics cards is slowed down by the speed of the Lightning connection (as much as I have found out). Depending on what you have in mind and what you intend to do with this station, gaming I suppose, you might be better off with a desktop. The station alone costs 600+ CHF, one of the new RTX cards around 1000+ CHF. I sold the station again, too big and all together not really good in price/performance ratio. I'd rather invest a little more in a desktop and have something really good for it. But if mobility (conditionally, the station is almost as big as a desktop) is a must, then well, don't expect the world of it. Sure, it will be better than the integrated graphics card of your laptop, but if you want to gamble on an external monitor with more than 1080p, then I repeat myself again and again = buy a desktop.
