So either you have an Ethernet cable or you buy an additional WIFI stick. Alternatively, there are also mainboards that support WIFI directly (filter settings: wireless transmission/WLAN).

With this board you can also do a BIOS update without CPU or RAM should it be necessary. --- BIOS FlashBack The (UEFI) BIOS can be updated by the user copying a BIOS file to a FAT32 formatted USB stick, inserting it into the USB BIOS FlashBack port and pressing a key. Updates can be performed even when no memory and CPU are installed.

OK. I'm giving you the answer myself. This mainboard supports "BIOS Flashback". This means that an "older" CPU is not necessary just to get into the BIOS and update it. This means that the new CPU does not have to be installed, but only the latest BIOS version can be installed via USB stick and "BIOS Flashback" button. As soon as this is done: Plug in the CPU / RAM / graphics card and connect the monitor/keyboard. The mainboard now starts and should recognise the new processor and display the BIOS mask.

The M.2 screws are usually in their own little bag in the box. A small hexagonal screw is used as a spacer, which is screwed directly into the MB, and a flat screw is inserted into it to secure the SSD. If the screws are really not included, you should contact Digitec support and Asus will have to supply them. From the Asus site https://rog.asus.com/motherboards/rog-strix/rog-strix-b450-f-gaming-ii-model/spec: Accessories: 1 x M.2 SSD screw package(s) 1 x M.2 Rubber Package(s)

x8 is sufficient. Performance loss is within the measurement tolerance range. Besides, a Ryzen CPU only has 24 PCIe lanes. 4 of them are for the chipset of the motherboard and 20 "for the rest". I have both m2 on the Ryzen 5800x. Slots occupied besides the graphics card I also have a x4 10GBit network card. => would be 24 lanes if the graphics card were running on x16. But as mentioned at the beginning, x8 is perfectly sufficient. With PCIE4, x4 would theoretically also be perfectly sufficient.

Maybe just reset the UEFI/BIOS. To do this, disconnect the power and connect the CLRTC pins at the bottom of the board for 5-10 seconds (manual 1-17). Then reconnect the power and try again. I had a similar problem with incorrect RAM timings and was able to restart the system.

Hi, three things off the top of my head: 1. despite everything, I would check again whether the RAM modules are seated correctly. I have already made the mistake myself and thought they were in the right place. Possibly try booting with only 1 stick. 2. Check whether the latest version of the BIOS is installed, as this is necessary for the 5000 AMD. 3. Check all power cables again, sometimes the problem can be solved easily. What kind of PSU is installed?
