With this board you can also do a BIOS update without CPU or RAM should it be necessary.

BIOS FlashBack
The (UEFI) BIOS can be updated by the user copying a BIOS file to a FAT32 formatted USB stick, inserting it into the USB BIOS FlashBack port and pressing a key. Updates can be performed even when no memory and CPU are installed.
