Hi, the device runs on USB-A, 3.1, so 5GB/second, with 3.2 or 3.1 Gen 2 the port for the transfer would be USB-C. But the speed is quite sufficient.

It depends on which drive was installed by Asus. It doesn't work with the device I bought from digitec because the older firmware version cannot be installed. Put in another drive that is compatible, then it works.
