Hi there, the Keylab is "only" a "keyboard". The sounds ultimately come from your speakers, and there are a few components in between that can change the sound. But with today's digital piano sounds, you can certainly simulate a "real" piano sound. The software that comes with it has a lot of different piano sounds, including strings etc. Everything for an orchestra. Finally, you need great speakers.

Hi, yes, by registering with arturia you automatically get the lab v and other small vst's, you get about 4000 sounds. That's actually enough. There is also a lab v with an extra charge, so you would have 10x as many sounds, so about 40,000 sounds.... have fun trying it out😀the sounds as well as the midi keyboard is great, I've had a few other brands, but I don't want to give this one away anymore. P/L is top.
