The mount is not completely lockable. The arm of the Arctic W1-3D monitor mount cannot be easily detached from the wall plate and reattached without disassembling the entire mount. The mount is designed to be permanently attached to the wall and there is no function that allows the arm to be removed without disassembling the wall plate. The mount is really stable and seems completely unimpressed by the 6kg of my 32". The specified payload is 8kg. I assume that the 8.1kg of your screen should not be a problem.

I totally agree with you, there is no USB hub.
If the question, in relation to the wall mount (drill hole) this is aligned with the centre of the screen when the arm is centred? Then yes it is possible, but only if the bracket is fixed much lower or higher than the screen, so as to form a more open (isosceles) triangle. In the case where the screen mount is almost horizontal, there is an offset from the centre of about 15cm.
