Be careful not to buy the 64GB version. It doesn't have a Gbit Ethernet connection, it doesn't support Thraed (for home automation) and, as the text says, it only has 64GB. For only 20 francs more, you get the real Apple TV 4K WiFi+Ethernet (not this scaled-down version).
The latest Apple TV also has the latest WIF standard. The latest AX standard (assuming compatible hardware) brings up to 6000 M/Bits over WIF. https://avm.de/pressimages/de/_processed_/2/2/csm_AVM_Vergleich_Datenraten_WLAN_AC_und_Wi-Fi_6_de_32c8ef3ac9.jpg
Hi! Dolby Vision is basically the absolute non plus ultra. Dolby takes over the settings itself and brings the picture home to you as it is specified by Dolby Lab. With HDR (open standard), you can make the adjustment and choose the recommended settings from Apple, but you don't have to. I myself first set my Apple TV devices in HDR mode using Apple calibration, but then switched back to Dolby Vision. Regarding Apple white balance: If your picture is already reasonably well adjusted, you won't notice much difference using white balance. HDR is in itself a good deal better than a normal 4K / UHD picture and already brings the colours into the living room a little more vividly. Dolby goes one better here with Vision and squeezes the maximum possible out of a picture. You can try it with a good example. Films like MAD MAX FURY ROAD or BLADE RUNNER 2049 are true gems in Dolby Vision and demonstrate very well what is possible.
Hi Calvin Just saw your question and tried to do some research for you.... For everyday use, it works perfectly with Siri! Thanks to the new Siri button on the right side of the remote, you can find it pretty quickly now. Unfortunately, I can't tell you for sure whether the initial setup also works exclusively via Siri. Unfortunately, I read pretty much everywhere that a screen would be necessary for the setup... - If another user is reading this: Could you try it out using only Siri? ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Regarding the radio: I quickly checked my Apple TV for you and can tell you the following: On the one hand, Apple TV 4K comes with the Apple Music app. In it, you can listen to the various Apple radio stations, which are really very good. In the App Store (in the Apple TV) I found various radio player apps, but also, for example, the official Energy Radio app, with which you can of course also listen to their own stations directly. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Regarding Airport Express: Here I found an article from Reddit where a user asked exactly the same question. Another user confirmed that the connection was possible without any problems. It may need a recent update on the Airport Express, but it seems to work. Unfortunately, the only information I found on Sonos is that it doesn't seem to work with Sonos Port. However, the articles are a bit older, so maybe someone else here can confirm whether it works or not! Via Airplay of course possible. I hope that I was able to help you at least a little! Kind regards
For some reason Galaxy’s sent me this question, which is a confusing one at best. Just out of curiosity. Why are you wasting your time by asking the question? Are you hoping to get a better price on a device that you know is not as good as the latest one? Why don’t you just buy the latest one and save some time and money (and have the better device)?
The price is very high in comparison, but we'll have that clarified. The 280 was wrong, thanks for pointing it out.
Because Apple has lowered the prices for the third generation, depending on the model. It is important to take the largest one for the new generation.
Apple TV and Chromecast are both great devices for streaming content to your TV, but they differ in a few important ways. Apple TV is a standalone device that connects to your TV and has a full operating system (tvOS). You can buy or rent movies and TV shows from the iTunes Store and stream Apple Music. It also supports AirPlay, which allows you to stream content from other Apple devices such as your iPhone or iPad to your TV. Chromecast is a small device that plugs into an HDMI port on your TV and allows you to stream content from your smartphone, tablet or computer to your TV. However, you need a device that is compatible with Chromecast to be able to stream content. Chromecast is also usually cheaper than Apple TV. Ultimately, it depends on your needs. If you have an Apple ecosystem and want to use Apple Music or the iTunes Store, Apple TV may be the best choice. However, if you are looking for a cheaper device to stream content from your smartphone or tablet to your TV, Chromecast might be a better option.
Yes, it should work without problems (both ways). I don't know why you should do that, but the new one is more user-friendly ;-)
I just tried with a bluetooth speaker, and it's either-or. There may be a magic pressure-method setting for it, but I haven't found anything. But it is possible that it works differently with miniPod - eg https://discussions.apple.com/thread/252077673
I only have experience with the Samsung Remote (IR). But "teaching" the Remote works perfectly. Is the Salt Remote also IR?
I simply connected our AppleTV via HDMI, sound works via Apple TV remote control - and TV remote control without any problems. LG
Yes, it's not a problem. I run it myself on a 1080p device.
The reason is the semiconductor / chip crisis. Third-party retailers (such as Digitec) base their prices on market supply / demand and due to poor availability they can raise prices if they are able to deliver. Apple itself, on the other hand, is known for relatively constant product pricing. Under normal circumstances, this is idR. more expensive than at the third party retailers, but in this particular case, for once, not. So in that case, just buy from Apple if you like the price ;)
You can use several streaming offers (like AppleTV, Netflix...) but normal TV or the programme like Bluewin or your cable provider or others have: unfortunately so: no. LG
Appel TV is basically like a big IPhone or an IPad on which you can then download the apps and yes, sky works.
According to Nintendo's latest update it is now possible to pair up to two devices via Bluetooth. On paper, you could pair a controller and a Homepod for example. It doesn't seem that the Apple TV can handle this unfortunately. In any case, I'll leave this question open in case someone has been able to test this precise configuration.
...I assume that this is about watching normal live TV via the Apple TV. I can only recommend downloading a suitable streaming app (e.g. Zatto) on the Apple TV, which offers the option of watching live TV channels as a stream. Alternatively, Amazon Prime Video offers the option of streaming the public broadcasters free of charge in the app (with a Prime subscription).
Hoi - that would make me wonder too... So, according to Apple - you have to log in with the device and your Apple ID, then you should have a button on the Apple TV app, (apple tV free 1 year or so, blue at best).... Must say, would also wonder because: @Digitec: I have 4 devices that would have been eligible - 1 MBP bought here - didn't work. 1 Iphone, didn't go either, 1 Ipad 2020 - didn't go either and last but not least an AppleTV 4K.... Digitec, guess what: it didn't work either, although you wrote beautifully that it worked and that I should...Sorry for the rant, Steinersidi. If it works for you: good - if not: let's contact Digitec support... ! ;) LG
Yes, for one year
These are the new models, yes, the remote control is now made of aluminium, the previous one was made of glass and could be damaged if dropped, and the aluminium remote control is also easier to use, as it now has buttons for everything and a scroll function is integrated on the remote control.
No, only 1 month, but 3 months of Apple Arcade.
Yes you can.
To be ordered separately, at least none was included with mine.
Only in the teleboy app do I have the jerks. Very sluggish, and it's been going on for months. According to televoy It's apple's fault, which I agree with!
There is no such list, but there are certainly restrictions, only what can be installed with Apple TV will also work with it. As a rule, a lot from the Apple Store. Sideloading is guaranteed not to work with it. In addition to Apple TV 4K and Google ChromeCast with Google TV, there is also the Nvidia Shield TV Pro or TV (2019 models). Both of these are also excellent players. Nvidia Shield TV Pro (Google Assistant) The Nvidia Shield also has a really good AI upscaler that can also upscale non-HD signals to 4K, which neither Google TV nor Apple TV can do. And don't forget, all Google TV compatible devices can also use Apple TV.
A "black time" still exists with me (LG 4K TV and ESPSON 4K beamer). Since I have replaced both "old" APTV 4K with the 2021 versions, I can no longer make a direct comparison. It feels negligibly faster. M.W. there is a good test in the Mac&i...
