Yes and no. The plate to fix the base to the monitor is attached with 4 screws. --> This is not quick and I can't say anything about the durability of frequent loosening / fastening. However, the table base consists of 3 swivel joints whose "manoeuvrability" can be adjusted with grub screws. Nothing wobbles on the base itself, even if the table is bumped, for example, the vibration of the monitor remains very low and also dampens itself very quickly. If the grub screw on the joint directly behind the monitor remains loose, the monitor can be pulled upwards. Concerns: 1) Do you realise that 2 cables (power & signal) must then always be unplugged? 2) The monitor will rest on the screen (part of the base is at the back), wherever you want to store it when not in use?

The AOC AM400B monitor mount allows flexible adjustment of the monitor, but not rotation into portrait mode and back without adjusting the VESA mount. The monitor can usually be adjusted in tilt and rotation, but a complete rotation into portrait format is usually not possible without adjusting the VESA mount.

I don't know the maximum, but 28mm works. But I think the mounting is pretty bad - I wouldn't buy it again.
