Can the monitor be quickly detached from the arm and reconnected? The arm can stay on the table, but I don't want to have the monitor in front of me every time I work.
Yes and no. The plate to fix the base to the monitor is attached with 4 screws. --> This is not quick and I can't say anything about the durability of frequent loosening / fastening.
However, the table base consists of 3 swivel joints whose "manoeuvrability" can be adjusted with grub screws.
Nothing wobbles on the base itself, even if the table is bumped, for example, the vibration of the monitor remains very low and also dampens itself very quickly.
If the grub screw on the joint directly behind the monitor remains loose, the monitor can be pulled upwards.
Concerns:
1) Do you realise that 2 cables (power & signal) must then always be unplugged?
2) The monitor will rest on the screen (part of the base is at the back), wherever you want to store it when not in use?
The monitor cannot be "easily" separated from the arm, but the arm can be removed at the base. It is held in place with an Allen screw. This only needs to be loosened slightly and the entire arm can be lifted off with the monitor. The base, which is screwed to the table, remains. Attention should be paid to the cables.
