It is a TN panel. You can tell that from the response time of 1 ms, among other things. The specifications are confirmed on the manufacturer's website: http://eu.aoc.com/de/gaming/products/ag241qg
I have almost the same setup, only an I7 6700K as processor and can play most games with about 80-100 FPS at said resolution. Of course it depends on the game, with PUBG I have about 70 FPS with rather low quality settings, while things like LoL are playable with 250+ FPS without any problems.
Doesn't matter too much because the cables are manufactured and tested according to standards. However, I understand your doubts and at that time I also bought a special cable: Lindy GOLD DisplayPort Cable (2m, Premium, Black). You can test the supplied cable and then buy the cable. I am very satisfied with the cable, but it is quite inflexible due to all the shielding layers. I can make another recommendation when I know what your price expectations are.
55cm x 33cm
I can't say whether it also has FreeSync, but I bought it at the time because of GSync and it definitely recognises it.
Unfortunately I have not found anything for the minimum height, the manufacturer does not seem to give any information on this. With the MacBook you can connect it without any problems.
Only overclocking (150Hz, 155Hz 160Hz) can be set in the screen's menu. No trace of the video-specific refresh rates.
Did you possibly use an insufficient HDMI cable (<1.4)? Otherwise, I would try a Displayport cable (higher bandwidth than HDMI). As far as I know, the screen does not change the channel automatically, so you might want to change the channel manually. I hope this answer can help you, otherwise feel free to contact me again.

Es gibt in ... ;) AOC AGON AG271QG (27", 2560 x 1440 Pixels)
Good question, I think not so much, but if anyone finds it, please post it. Mine has a loose contact and another question, has anyone noticed that their monitor beeps or hisses quite audibly?
Yes. If you do not receive an appropriate CH cable or plug, please contact customer service. This will normally be supplied later.
Hey Mattias Glans I have a Gtx 1080 and an I7700K myself and I can still play all games on the highest settings. I have Guild Wars 2 myself and it is easily possible to play it with many FPS. I don't know about the colours in the corners though. Kind regards Redheido
There should always be a Swiss-type plug/cable.
The monitor worked wonderfully with my MacBook Pro Early 2015. It does not work with the new MacBook Pro 13'' 2020 with a Satechi adapter. I will still test if it works with Displayport to USB-C.
A GTX 1080 now costs almost the same as a GTX 1070, so I'd advise you to upgrade. If you are considering a GTX 1080 Ti, however, it depends on the games. You can get the most demanding games over 60fps with a GTX 1070 and over 90fps with a GTX 1080 Ti.
I have the impression that as it was an exposure model. It was set to display 2 images to compare one fluid image with another. Except that I can't get this off, can someone please help me?
You have to increase the refresh rate to 165hz in the options (osd) of the screen. If I remember correctly, the whole thing can be found under the heading "extras" and then "overclock".
The supplied DP cable supports the specified data of the monitor. If you require more detailed information, I recommend contacting AOC directly.
