Hello I have a USB port in my car but no aux. I have aux on my mobile phone. Can I use this transition to bring music to the car via the USB? Thank you.

This will not work, because this type of adapter is intended for use with a computer, and the operating system will install the necessary drivers. It won't work with a car radio, because nothing can be reloaded or installed.

Does the thing also work with a headset - I mean, does the microphone also work?

I have not tested it, but if the headset has separate 3.5mm plugs for headphones (green) and microphone (red), it should work. If the headset only has a 4-pin 3.5mm plug, then you would have to have a splitter, e.g. item 361357.
