Had the same problem at Christmas as I wanted to pair two Spotify accounts with the Echos. It's not that easy. 🤣
You need two Amazon accounts, disconnect one Echo from the main account and link it to the new account and then link a Spotify account to each Amazon account.
Another problem is that when you linked the new ECHO to your main Amazon account, the Amazon Kids+ subscription (2 years free) was cancelled there. This must be transferred to the new account - have fun with Amazon customer service.
You can then rename the two Echos at the end so that there is no interference with voice commands and each child can control their own Echo independently.
No, in Switzerland there is no free annual subscription, which also annoyed me a lot, and Spotify Kids is not available in Switzerland either! very annoying... now I don't know what exactly the difference is to Google Nest, apart from the childlike design...
Hello Martina,
I have been using the Echo Dot for 2 weeks now and it can be used without Amazon Kids without any problems.
I don't miss any function for my 5 year old daughter.
Greetings
