Additionally, it supports 32 audio channels at a sample rate of 1.536 kHz, allowing for the processing of all known audio formats, including the new surround sound formats Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, and Auro 3D.

Display Stream Compression (DSC) 1.2 and Forward Error Correction (FEC)

The DSC technology is a visually lossless compression method used for resolutions above 5120x2880 @60Hz, compressing the streamed video data at a ratio of 3:1. This allows DisplayPort 1.4 to deliver 8K / UHD-2 @60 Hz with 10-bit HDR (High Dynamic Range) or 12-bit output. The FEC ensures error-free transmission of the compressed DSC data.
