Prusa XL Satin powder-coated sheet steel

The heated bed features embedded magnets with a high Curie temperature. These magnets are capable of securely holding removable spring steel plates. The satinized sheet expands our range of print sheets. In terms of printing properties, the satinized sheet falls between the smooth and textured variants. Its powder-coated surface with a lightly textured, matte finish provides an optimal level of adhesion, especially when printing with PLA and PETG materials. It is fully compatible with a variety of common and less common filaments, such as ABS, ASA, FlexFill 98A, polycarbonate, and more. The vast majority of materials can be printed without a release layer, such as glue. Polycarbonate prints better on satinized material compared to smooth and textured sheets. If you frequently print with PC, a layer of glue stick is recommended to avoid potential damage to the sheet. Warning: Never clean the satinized powder-coated spring steel sheet with acetone! This can cause micro-cracks in the texture, which will deteriorate the surface over time.
