The T1 EVO BT creates a broad, clearly graduated sound stage and combines a full-bodied fundamental sound with good detail resolution. In terms of these characteristics, only the Cambridge Audio Alva ST comes close to it in the test field, although it has a little more bass foundation and sovereignty...

Product details
The Pro-Ject T-Series is a range of turntables that are handmade in Europe and known for their excellent sound quality and minimalist design.
The Pro-Ject T1 EVO BT 2024 is equipped with an electronic speed selector, a Bluetooth transmitter and an integrated RIAA preamplifier, which can now also be bypassed. Bluetooth 5.0 aptX enables the wireless transmission of vinyl sounds in HD quality to a Bluetooth speaker. The chosen cartridge is a slightly better Ortofon OM-10E, equipped with an elliptical stylus. The belt drive has been redesigned and the precision-cast platter bearing is ultra-precise. The selected drive system provides a smoothly rotating and resonance-free platform for the one-piece aluminium tonearm and cartridge.

- wonderful sound
- Great look and finish
- aptX HD streaming
- high-priced
Pro-Ject enjoys an excellent reputation, with many models reaching true audiophile standards. The T1 Evo BT is available in high-gloss black, white or walnut, has no plastic parts and shows great care in its physical and acoustic design. The glass platter and comparatively solid chassis in combination with a lightweight tonearm give it a clearly high-quality feel - as does its elegant appearance...
- excellent price-performance ratio
- Solid, balanced sound
- Very good phono pre for its price
- Bluetooth aptX HD
- Pickup limits the performance somewhat
Measured against its price of 500 euros, the Pro-Ject T1 Evo BT delivers a convincing performance. The phono pre is particularly good in combination with the built-in pickup, while the Bluetooth playback also fulfils higher demands. It can be this relaxed.
