By reducing the amount of raw PLA and incorporating organic materials, the plastic content in the material has been decreased by approximately 40%. The added organic materials give PolyTerra PLA a matte finish. Furthermore, Polymaker, the manufacturer of PolyTerra PLA, has partnered with the non-profit organization One Tree Planted to plant a tree for every spool sold, further emphasizing the eco-friendly aspect of PolyTerra PLA.
