Polymaker PolyWood

This specialty family offers unique filaments from Polymaker to explore new 3D printing applications. PolyWood™ is made entirely from PLA using a special foaming technology. It has the same density and appearance as wood. PolyWood™ is a wood-like filament without real wood powder, eliminating the risk of nozzle clogs. Since PolyWood contains no wood, it is possible to combine the material with any color. The printed parts have an amazing surface finish, and optical layering is minimized. More colors and materials are already in development. PolyWood™ is the only 3D printable foam to date. The density of PolyWood is on average 0.8 g/cm³, which is about 35 - 40% less than PLA. Due to its low density, the component has a lighter weight.

Recommended settings:
Nozzle temperature: 190˚C - 210˚C
Print speed: 30 mm/s - 50 mm/s
Bed temperature: 25˚C - 60˚C
Bed surface: Glass with glue, blue tape, BuilTak®
Cooling fan: ON.
