Product details
Strong and durable ASA-CF08 filament has been designed for parts that must withstand sun, weather, and mechanical stress. With 8% carbon fiber, the material becomes stiff and shape-stable, while the ASA base provides UV protection and prevents cracking. This makes it ideal for outdoor parts and demanding applications.
The filament retains its shape even at higher temperatures and is heat-resistant up to about 103 °C. The combination of rigidity, strength, and impact resistance results in durable and functional printed parts.
ASA-CF08 is best printed at 260–280 °C on a heated print bed of 90–100 °C. For optimal results, a closed chamber is recommended. Since carbon fiber is highly abrasive, a hardened nozzle should be used.
The filament is particularly suitable for outdoor parts exposed to sun and weather, for automotive components with high precision and stiffness requirements, as well as for industrial applications with a matte, professional finish.
When printing with ASA, small amounts of styrene may be released. Therefore, always ensure good ventilation or air filtration in the workspace.
