Product details
The Platinum Century Gold Trim Chartres fountain pen, model PNB15000-51M, represents the distinguished #3776 Century collection with its Chartres Blue color and medium nib. This Japanese writing instrument features a 14-karat gold nib with iridium tipping, providing a smooth writing experience with a line width of 0.34-0.44 mm. The pen body and cap are crafted from semi-transparent resin with gold-plated accents on the clip and rings, measuring 139.5 mm in length when closed and weighing 24.6 grams. A key innovation is the patented Slip and Seal mechanism, which prevents ink from drying in the nib for up to two years through a rotating cap design. The fountain pen operates with standard blue-black cartridges and is compatible with optional converters for bottled ink, though converters are not included. Each pen is individually handcrafted and presented in an elegant gift box. The #3776 Century collection, introduced in 2012, has received recognition including the Japanese ISOT Stationery of the Year award for its functional design and reliable performance. The pen's balanced, classic form and durable construction make it suitable for daily writing tasks and professional use.
