JustBoom Amp HAT Audio Amplifier for Raspberry Pi
The Pi Supply Raspberry Pi HAT is a high-quality audio amplifier specifically designed for the Raspberry Pi. It is an audio amplifier with digital-to-analog conversion, making external sound cards or DACs unnecessary. You can easily plug the plug-and-play add-on board (HAT) onto your Raspberry Pi A+, B+, 2B, or the new 3B and start using it immediately. It features a Class-D power amplifier chip with an integrated 192 kHz/32-bit DAC for a peak output of 2x 55 watts. The audio output via two speaker cable terminal blocks accepts cables up to 14 AWG, providing crystal-clear audio for passive 4 or 8-ohm speakers. It also uses the I2S interface for its audio input, which reduces the CPU load on the Raspberry Pi compared to USB solutions. It is designed to power the Raspberry Pi through the 40-pin GPIO header, allowing you to use a single power supply for the entire system.
- Plug-and-play compatibility for user-friendliness
- Hardware and software volume control from your Raspberry Pi
- Onboard hardware jumper for configuring mute and gain settings (jumpers can optionally be replaced with switches)
- Mute/Unmute with GPIO22 (can be overridden with jumper J4)
- No soldering required
- Mounting hardware included
- Optional IR receiver included in the package
- Unused GPIO pins are still accessible via unpopulated expansion header
- Fully HAT compliant
- Full driver support in Raspbian/NOOBS
- Compatible with OSMC/RuneAudio/Volumio/Moode/PiCorePlayer/PiMusicBox/OpenELEC and others.
