Only through continuous monitoring of important network and plant parameters can uninterrupted and thus economical operation be achieved. To avoid or limit the consequences of errors, electronic monitoring relays from the EMD series are available for a wide range of monitoring tasks. Operating states are indicated by colored LEDs, and any errors can be transmitted to a control system via a potential-free contact or shut down a part of the plant. Some device variants are equipped with start and release delays to temporarily tolerate measured values outside the set monitoring range.
