Due to their excellent elastic pressing ability and low hardness, even a small amount of pressure achieves a very good adaptation to surfaces. All large and small height differences are compensated, from microscopically small grooves to visible unevenness. The surface of the pad is slightly sticky and covered with a protective film that must be removed before installation. This slight adhesive property comes into play, preventing any slipping while mounting a heatsink. These thermal pads can also be cut to the desired size. They are suitable for use with RAM coolers on graphics cards as well as for voltage regulators on motherboards. Even for large components such as the North or Southbridge, these thermal adhesive pads can be used due to their excellent thermal conductivity.
