The term Filigree contains the Latin words "filum" (thread) and "granum" (grain) and refers to an art form that involves stamping a base design from silver wire and then engraving delicate patterns into it. The polished cover of the Paperblanks notebook Silver Filigree Maya Blue was inspired by the French edition of Johann Arndt's Paradies-Gärtlein from 1697.
