The 1.8/50 shows similar results at open aperture as the 1.8/35 from Panasonic: the centre of the image fits, but the contrast should be higher at the edges. Stopping down at the second and third measured apertures 3.5 and 5.6 raises the measured values for the centre of the image moderately...
... The more expensive pro lens, costing around 1,960 euros, differs above all in its extremely high resolution from open aperture f/1.4. Due to the high price difference, our recommendation to all L-mount hobbyists is the Panasonic Lumix S 50mm F1.8.
