Electromagnets are a great way to generate linear motion for pushing and pulling. This smaller magnet is designed for controlling switches and levers and operates directly at 5V, making it an excellent addition to embedded projects. It has a stroke of about 4.5 mm and features 2 M2 mounting holes on the body.
The wire lead is approximately 2 inches long and comes with a 2-pin JST PH connector.
Note: The mounting holes on this magnet actually have a diameter of 1.6 mm, allowing for threading for an M2 screw. Additionally, while the datasheet specifies a stroke of 6 mm, the actual stroke appears to be closer to 4.5 mm.
