The 3-star Oehlbach Digicon C/O converts a digital electrical signal into an optical signal. For this purpose, a coaxial and an optical connection are integrated into the solid metal housing of the Digicon C/O, both of which are 24-karat gold-plated for maximum transmission and contact reliability. The Digicon C/O converts compressed and uncompressed audio signals with a sampling depth of up to 24 bits. The conversion process is completely lossless, thanks to strictly selected electronic components, and guarantees an above-average quality of the converted output signal.
