Normann Copenhagen Puff
E27Product details
The Puff Lamp Collection is a modern and sculptural interpretation of the traditional rice paper lamp, designed based on organic and simple principles. This collection honors one of the oldest lamp-making traditions in Asia. Rice paper lamps have been used for centuries, originally adorning the halls of temples. The inspiration for the Puff Lamp Collection came from a trip to Japan, where designer Saskia Hübner saw countless variations of the rice paper lamp. This sparked the pursuit of finding the right balance between sculptural playfulness and functional minimalism, resulting in a collection that invites playful arrangements of various voluminous shapes. Therefore, Puff is suitable for a large hotel lobby, a restaurant, or a small private space. Voluminous yet lightweight, the rice paper material allows for the creation of immense volume without wasting unnecessary material or creating a heavy, uncomfortable design. The rice paper provides a natural, warm light as it gently diffuses the light source, preventing it from being too bright or overexposed. Thus, the lamps emit a soft light and appear as organic sculptures within the space.
