The game breaks with several conventions of the series. For instance, many of the weaker enemies now appear not individually, but in larger groups. Link can move more freely than ever before: to get a better overview of his surroundings, he can climb towers and massive structures and summit any mountain. He then glides back down with his paraglider, and if that feels too slow, he simply uses his shield as a makeshift sled for a speedy descent. Even the weather conditions change repeatedly in this dynamic world, and if Link is to survive, players must take this into account. A sudden downpour can extinguish any campfire, and during thunderstorms, metallic weapons can attract lightning. Additionally, Link should always pay attention to the right clothing, as his journey takes him through various regions with different climates. In this vast world, there are more than 100 Shrines of Trials filled with traps and puzzles to discover. The order in which players explore these is entirely up to them. As Link fights his way through a shrine, he receives special items and rewards that will benefit him on his further journey. The puzzles can often be solved in more than one way. Moreover, there are plenty of secrets to uncover. Exploring and discovering is the essential fun of Link's new adventure.

PEGI

Pan European Game Information (PEGI) is a European video game content rating system established to help European parents make informed decisions on buying computer games with logos on games boxes.

Country version Packaging

Describes whether the game comes with USK or PEGI packaging. USK ("Unterhaltungssoftware Selbstkontrolle") is the age rating used in the German market. The PEGI ("Pan European Game Information") age rating is used in the rest of Europe (and also predominantly in the Swiss market). While PEGI is "only" a recommendation, the USK rating is binding for the sale of software in the German market.

The country version usually has no influence on the game content.

Note: It can happen that occasionally different packaging is delivered.

The Entertainment Software Self-Regulation Body (USK) is the responsible body in Germany for the age rating of video games as well as video game trailers.
