I like Super Smash Bros. for 3DS thanks to its many game modes, massive star potential and ingenious stages. There is also a lot of unlockable stuff like statues, coins and artwork. The game rocks mightily against or with each other anyway - that's how it should be for the series...
I am delighted at how few compromises fight fans have to accept in the first handheld Smash Bros. game. Technically, the title is cleanly implemented, the controls are easy to master with a little practice and the many unlockable goodies keep you motivated for a long time. A little annoying is the fact that with four players on the screen, the overview is quickly lost - those who can, play on the 3DS XL...
Super Smash Bros. for the 3DS has become an extremely entertaining continuation of the iconic series. The portable version holds tremendous addictive potential and I haven't been able to move too far from my 3DS for days without the thought crossing my mind to try and unlock that one stage after all, or maybe try out the Smash Adventure mode again with a different character...
And that is also my only request to the developers. I know that Sakurai will probably never change anything. Not until the next Super Smash Bros. But we can still hope for an update. Give me more options online. Make the process freer and let me make all the settings without having to choose between two very separate camps...
What a monster! In terms of scope, Super Smash Bros. almost beats the entire competition. A whopping 51 Nintendo and video game stars are waiting for you to explore and perfect their crazy attacks in numerous modes. A really exciting single-player part is missing and I would have liked more options in the online game against strangers...
