An adventure from the past of the Sinnoh region - You travel to the Sinnoh region, the setting of Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl, but this story takes place long before there were Pokémon trainers or a Pokémon League. You are surrounded by wild Pokémon living in inhospitable areas. Here, you will discover Sinnoh from a perspective you haven't seen in Pokémon Diamond and Pokémon Pearl.

Catch Pokémon - To catch Pokémon in Pokémon Legends: Arceus, you will first study their behavior. Then, you sneak up on them and throw your Poké Ball. Your Pokémon companion can assist you in catching by battling wild Pokémon. Simply throw the Poké Ball containing your Pokémon companion at a wild Pokémon to seamlessly switch into battle. Choose the moves your Pokémon knows to issue commands.

Meet your first partner Pokémon - To ensure you don't have to undertake your mission of creating the first Pokédex of the region alone, you can choose Rowlet, Cyndaquil, or Oshawott as your partner. These three Pokémon were brought by a Pokémon professor who encountered them on research trips to various regions.
