Turn the street into a canvas and paint with natural light – the Nikkor Z 35mm f/1.4 is the prime lens for your full-frame camera. Its high aperture of f/1.4 and impressive imaging performance give you complete freedom in street photography.

The 35mm focal length is popular for its natural perspective, which resembles that of the human eye. It is perfect for capturing all facets of life. Ideal for street photography, travel reports, events, and film. When shooting wide open, you'll be rewarded with a large, beautifully soft bokeh. Even in low light, you can achieve clear, sharp images. Additionally, you can use shorter exposure times to freeze motion without sacrificing brightness.

With its fast and precise multi-focusing system, this 35mm prime lens captures the decisive moment. The responsive autofocus is wonderfully smooth. Depth of field and bokeh can be precisely controlled. Focus breathing is minimized, allowing for focus adjustments without shifting the angle of view. The optional linear focusing enables controlled and precise manual focus tracking.

Expressions, textures, gestures – with a minimum focusing distance of 0.27m, this 35mm Z lens offers a wide field of view. Want to capture fleeting light? With the freely assignable, click-free control ring, you can smoothly adjust aperture, ISO sensitivity, exposure compensation, and much more. Weighing only about 415g, this thoroughly sealed wide-angle lens is extremely compact and handy.

Lens type

Bayonet lens mount

A lens mount is an interface — mechanical and often also electrical — between a photographic camera body and a lens. It is confined to cameras where the body allows interchangeable lenses, most usually the single lens reflex type or any movie camera of 16 mm or higher gauge. Lens mounts are also used to connect optical components in instrumentation that may not involve a camera, such as the modular components used in optical laboratory prototyping which join via C-mount or T-mount elements.
