Nikon

The lens quickly and precisely captures focus and reliably tracks it during subject movements. The electromagnetic aperture control ensures precise and consistent exposure even at high frame rates. Nikon's Silent Wave Motor enables extremely fast and quiet autofocus operation. The advanced AF tracking keeps moving subjects securely in focus, even when the movement is unpredictable or the subject is rapidly approaching the camera. A switch for limiting the focus range (FULL and ∞-5 m) allows for even faster focus acquisition.

Focusing features borrowed from professional NIKKOR lenses provide outstanding adjustment options. The focus modes (A/M and M/A) allow for an easy switch from autofocus to manual focusing simply by turning the focus ring. The focus ring can be precisely adjusted thanks to its anti-slip design. With the focus memory function, a distance setting can be saved for repeated use. This is perfect when you want to focus on a bird's perch while hunting.

Bayonet lens mount

A lens mount is an interface — mechanical and often also electrical — between a photographic camera body and a lens. It is confined to cameras where the body allows interchangeable lenses, most usually the single lens reflex type or any movie camera of 16 mm or higher gauge. Lens mounts are also used to connect optical components in instrumentation that may not involve a camera, such as the modular components used in optical laboratory prototyping which join via C-mount or T-mount elements.
