Nikon schickt mit dem 400/2,8 G AF-S VR ED ein sehr gutes Objektiv ins Rennen. Es handelt sich dabei um ein sehr leichtes und kompaktes Modell, welches als solches dennoch eine sehr gute Performance vorweisen kann. Für die Makro-Aufnahme von scheuen Tieren ist es hingegen keine perfekte Wahl, dafür ist der Arbeitsabstand zu kurz.
