Blood Bowl 3 is fantasy football as a video game: a turn-based strategy game set in the world of Warhammer Fantasy, inspired by American football, where elves, humans, orcs, and other beings battle for the ball using shoulder tackles, kicks, punches, and weapons of varying degrees of lethality (and legality, according to the referee). As a coach, players give their players instructions: the goal is to prevent the opponents from advancing through skilled tackling, take down those who stand in the way, and ultimately break through to reach the opponent's end zone for a touchdown.
